Picked up 2 boxes of halves and 2 boxes of cents before the impending snowmagedon 2016.

    Box 1 - a few NIFC
Box 2 - 5 40%ers, and a bunch of NIFC, including an 06D that I needed to finish off my NIFC Kennedy book. Not a bad start to what will probably be a crappy weekend.

Not exactly coin roll hunting, but I bought 3 rolls of 40% halves from the coin shop and there was a circulated 1970-D

I got this Singaporean coin in a nickel roll. Never seen one from this country before...

Two boxes halves: 2-40% (66, 67); 1-1987-D; 1-1986-S Liberty commemorative clad; 1-1976 gold plated; 5-NIFC. Not a bad way to spend a snow day inside!

It's been awfully snowy here on the east coast, but between rounds of running the snow blower I worked through $76 in CWR nickels:

    1930s: 2 including a 1936 buffalo
    1940s: 7, but no silver
    1950s: 9, nothing special

This 2005-P colorized reverse also popped up.

Colorized 2005-P? Was this something special from the Mint?

    Nice 36. :)

private mints often colorize real coins, especially special designs like the WWJ nickels and state quarters, and sell them at a marked up price.

I went out and bought 20 rolls of CWR cents on Friday. This was my first time searching rolls of cents in around two years. I had some good finds:

    1917
    1936
    1937
    1941
    1946D
    1952D

Out of 1,060 rolls searched, 1917 is the oldest Lincoln cent I've ever found (it was previously 1919). I also found some high grade cents that were minted within the last 35 years. Overall, I am quite happy with these finds.

Quick box of BWR Cents - 26 wheatbacks.

    1928, (2) 1930, 1936, 1937, 1940, (2) 1944, 1946, 1947-D, 1949, 1950, (2) 1950-D, 1952, 1952-D, (2) 1953, 1955, 1955-D, (4) 1956, (2) 1956-D, 1969-S, 1974-S. Around 20 Canadians.

No really special coins, though the 46 had some luster and the 55 is a faint double die. I've got several faint dd 55s. <shrugs>

While recovering from the outdoor work I finished off a box of cents:
    - 504 coppers
    - 11 common wheats, plus the totally chewed up wheat pictured
    - 3 Canadian including a rough looking 1940

I have a fresh box of cents sitting in the queue... since they closed the office today and everything stayed clear here on the homestead overnight I guess I'll start going through that. :)

    Two boxes of halves...
1 of them was chock full of marked coins but still gave up a 1966, the other produced:

    5 - 1964s
    2 - 1968D

    1 - 1987D (hole filler)
    1 - Gold plated 1986 counter stamped with "1960-1985"
    1 - gold plated bicentennial
    1 - 1982P no FG

I'd love boxes like the second one every week!

I've spent the last 2 days digging out. Our streets haven't been touched and may not be until Wednesday. Just in time for me to pick up my Thursday coins :)

FF2, I live in the NW US. I've only 2-inches of snow at my house compared to the usual 14-inches, which is very unusual. I hope you (and the other eastern US folks here) get your coins this week!

We got lucky up here near Boston. Maybe 2 1/2" in the yard. It's been a surprisingly easy winter this year. Last year broke all of our records!

That beauty belongs in the ugly coin thread! :)

I haven't been keeping my roadrash wheatbacks, unless they're hole fillers, but the one you found is like a badge of honor.

Well, I chewed through another box of cents this afternoon since there really wasn't anything better to do (that didn't involve more time outside).

    Coppers: 633
    Wheats: 14
    Canadian: 8, including a decent 1945 GVI

The win of the day goes to the 1902 IHC pictured. It's a little banged up, but pretty as a picture in my eyes. :)

Box of halves gave up a 68D and an 87, both in really good condition.

After seven consecutive boxes of halves with NOTHING worth keeping, four boxes today yielded 2 - 1964 and 3 40%.
    Another box due in tomorrow.
