Someone stop me, I can't stop buying ancients! Picked this up today. Will post more pics when it arrives (though I doubt mine are better than these).

Nice. I'm not sure where they're getting 3/5 surfaces though, based on these images. To me, the surfaces look at least 4/5, but, then, I'm not an NGC grader. :p

I agree. I have seen far worse get 4/5. Makes me wonder if the pictures make it look better than it really is.

I think you found a very nice coin. It's like someone said a couple of days ago when we were talking about lawyers. "I can't pass a bar either". It seems you are that way about coins. And you seem to have a good eye for nice coins. Congrats.

    chrsmat71 I LIKE TURTLES!

those are some lovely tets you guys...great new pick up jwitten...keep 'em coming!

i'm not sure on the surface score either, looks like the slab has more scratches than the coin.

There are a few light scratches on the reverse... wonder if that brought it down. Usually if the scratches are bad it will mention "scratches" though.

I don't know. I don't think there's anything on the reverse that qualifies as worth mentioning for a lightly circulated coin that may have spent hundreds of years underground, but that's just me.
