WOW MS66. Did it get a plus?

Very nice. I am going to call it 66 based on the small luster graze on his cheek and the mark on the neck, but that is darn close to 67. Split the difference and call it 66+.

66 since it's dipped blast white. If it had a little tone it would be a 67.

Nice coin. I like the nice solid strikes from good dies.

The services tend to be pretty hard on marking though so I'm going to guess MS-66. There's a little chatter and a small scratch. The '55-D isn't too tough nice and this works against it as well.

By my standards it's a 67 or at least 66+.

First thought (upon viewing) was '66 and I see that most of my fellows agree.........:)

Yeah, MS67 would be no surprise. If not, 66 would be the basement.

Pcgs is hard on these. I think it's a 66, but for all I know they gave it a 65. Here's an old NGC no-line Fatty MS65 of mine... I can't tell the difference between this and a 66, perhaps even a 67.

Don't have the coin back yet, but people pretty much nailed it, MS66. This is the first MS66 (besides Ikes) I have received from PCGS after being disappointed so many other times. This wasn't even the first 1955 D i submitted to them. One came back MS63 and I can't for the life of me figure out why. They all came from the same original roll.

I've found then wildly inconsistent on these as well.

It's a beauty!! And quite a price jump to a + and a staggering leap to 67 on this one.

That would have a lot to do with the fact that PCGS has only graded 2 at MS67.
