a light spread on the date, and the bottom of the bust. It looks like the one to me because the doubling on the bust. I'll need to do more research. http://doubleddie.com/829033.html
You can't see the horizontal extra line running across the bottom of the bust? You can't see the extra thickness on the date where I put the arrows?
In your second post? Yes, that is clearly a DDO. If your coin matches those, then I'd say you've got it - I just can't tell from the pictures in your first post.
At least we agree on something. Those 2 were from Wexler. haha Doubling is definitely present on the bust. If it's not the one I said then it's a new one.
The 9 in all of your coin's photos don't match the 9 from the Wexler image. Note the crease down the middle in the tail of the 9. Weller's has it while yours does not. To be that variety it would have to be present.
It depends a lot on the angle of the light, I can see it but if I move the light source it goes away. Different die states with more or less wear, as well as length of circulation wear, also affects the clarity of the features. The fact that the coin is dark, and stained does not help either. I wasn't sure at first until I saw the doubling on the bust. i have a couple of 1984-D's with the doubled bust. There is no way the doubling on the bust could be MD. The moderators, and some members of the "Lincoln Cent Forum" have verified my attribution. Here is a better pic of the date.
Your first pictures are fine. Clear separation on the 9, even if it is a little worn. Your last set of pictures shows the separation slightly better. Bust doubling is easiest to see on yours on the far right on the bottom. I don't even have to struggle to see it's a match...not sure what the issue is with not being able to see it.
