Possible Metal Detector Purchase....

I am currently considering buying a Garrett Ace 250 metal detector.
It comes with headphones and a carry bag.
I can get it for $216 (new).

Is this a reasonable price ?
How is the performance of this model ?

I looked for it on Epinions, but there were no listings.

I've done some looking over the past few months, and that seems like a good price, and a pretty good model in that price range.

It appears that everyone in those forums seem to like the Garrett 250.
I think I will have to order one.

 

roto: the Garrett 250 is considered to be one HOT machine.
They basically missed the market on this one, and could have priced it at $350 retail.
When it first came out there was a long wait for them.
Also, that price is basically very good, esp with the accessories.

 

Gosh, I keep considering one, but collecting takes up sp much of my time as it is.
