I believe it's Coppercoins die number 3. Here is the link. I'm not so sure about the angle of the mint mark though. It was so dirty I didn't know what I had until I soaked it in distilled water, then acetone for 45 minutes each. It cleaned up pretty nice. So um MS63 from ANACS? http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1984&die_id=1984d1do003&die_state=mds
I think it's actually Coppercoins 1984-D 1DO-001 Here are some better images. Notice the small dot in bay #10 on the reverse. It's a die marker for this variety. The mint mark is at the right angle and position. That very thin green line right next to the rim, and the green stuff under and West of Liberty are the beginnings of rot. I'd like to get it off without damaging the coin... Any ideas?
Have you looked at the various doubled dies on Coppercoins site? I doesn't seem like it from your comments. Here are some pics of the one I think I have.
But the date on your 1984-D looks nothing like the 1984-D from the Coppercoins photo you posted. For it to be this variety wouldn't it have to?? I'm referring to your original 1984-D, not the two you just posted.
That's what I'm trying to figure out. iGWT looks a lot like this as does the rest of the coin. This is a better candidate
