Last time I posted on this (ATS): http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=186202 I was pointed here: http://pjckn.com/blogs/colorado-law-keeps-business-competition-on-fair-ground/ as a good summary of the case. It was also reported that ICG won 2.7M in October 2014. But I don't think there's a way to get at the trial court opinion.
Thanks, makes nice reading. I see that you and SuperDave are on the other Site. Appears that SD is a moderator so he may be biased to my ? Which site do you think is better: CT or CC IMO after short time: CT: Ancients, US, photography CC: Foreign
Burton, I looked up your photo (blue shirt at coin show) on Google. You seem well connected to the coin business but we have not met.
I'm gonna call icg today and look into gething my colonial cc's slabbed. Has anyone submitted to them recently?
877-221-4424 Ask for Libby Dollar, she helped me before.. Libby Dollar is her real name. If she has a kid they should name him/her "Silver"
I am no longer affiliated with that site, and do not feel it would be seemly of me to share comparative opinion. I will say there is no better place to learn coin photography than CCF.....except I'm here now.
No, I'm purely an amateur. With a big mouth and fast fingers (typing snarky answers to questions). I do seem to be a little better at digging out stuff on Google than the average bear. I've been a casual numismatist for over 40 years. I joined ANA as soon as I was able and back then it was real money to a kid. I think my allowance was 52 cents (up from the original 25 then 26 (turns out even buying marbles as a kid you had to pay sales tax)). So basically the dues were my entire birthday money.
Thanks, I joined there also but just seems the photographers here know a lot. Probably because I know so little.
Burton's got a big brain and thirst for knowledge. That's pretty much all one needs to dominate numismatics no matter how humble one may be
Burton is an above-average communicator but an average scholar when it comes to numismatics. Most of us are just as obsessed with learning as he is, or we wouldn't be here.
Have either of you two actually met anyone on CT in person? OR...after years of back and forth you just "know" each other.
It's all online. Mostly. Sometimes you run into somebody at a big coin show. Or even arrange to meet. Somebody like Charmy takes pix and that puts a few names to faces. A few private messages might give you some clues as to where somebody lives or other details. You create mental pictures. Dave is 6' 3" and a little heavier than he was when he mustered out of the corps. Some hair is gone into a big reddish brown bushy beard. But in general, I wouldn't recognize Dave even if I was beating him out for a parking spot at the PNNA show. He's probably 5' 6" and bald except for a grey pony tail.
