Not sure. It's difficult to tell from the photos. It looks like his neck should be shaved. Possible MD from his beard. I'd hang onto that penny until you can find out more. Try local shops for their opinion or send to Wexler for his.

Oh, just saw it is 92' also. Did you check it for close AM on reverse?

 

Yes, no close AM.

 

I just went through a bunch and compared them to your last picture. The throat angle on your example is steeper than the normal from my perception. I'm guessing there was a little grease fill at the top of the throat making it look more vertical. The beard on the throat area does show up on anything that isn't to circulated.

 

Are you using a USB microscope?

 

No. I don't have a computer yet. I'm getting a laptop and a USB camera as soon as I can.

 

I use my phone and a magnifying glass to take pictures.
