It's a shame Lost Dutchman's stuff doesn't coincide with my collecting interests (or my budget :p ). After your story, I want to swing them some business.

Actually its a bit of a shame on me, I live in muncie, They are less than an hour from me toward Indianapolis and I've never been there...Drew and I will be making a trip soon, no doubt.

Opps, sorry about the double entry. If only I knew what I was doing here..,

I wanted to say thanks for the excellent report and I enjoyed the accompanying photo's.

I didn't get over there but maybe next time. Is this a once a year event or monthly?

The time spent with your son is of coarse priceless. He will always remember his first sales and other show events and teaching him simple business skills will benefit him later on in life.

Sounds like a positive experience all around.
    Congratulations!

That's great you did well. And was a great experience for and with your son. People like that are the future of our collecting community and I always try to support them as I was a 9 year old coin collector once too and remember it well

@phankins11, I loved everything about your report but the GB Hat!!! LMAO. I'm a Bears fan.

I've been to Matt's store. He helped me with my CAC submission. We hit over 70% on the submission thanks to his help. He has some very cool WWII memorabilia in the shop as well.

Congrats on your first show. Sounds like you had a blast! I've been thinking about this as well, but I don't think I have enough merchandise to sell.

I have to tell you that my first show experience was eerily similar to yours, even down to me being a club officer and taking my son along with me. That was many shows ago.

    Now for the scary part.

    We even look alike. Sorry.

Same bread/mustache arraignment too. I am quite a bit older.

I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. the best days are still ahead!

I had a table at a local coin show once. It is a lot of work and the worst part is in having more than one customer at a time.

Next time, I bring a helper............

    Awesome report ...

These are the shows I like most, you have time to make some sales, buy some stuff & make some new friends.
