I found this today, any thoughts. I see doubling on the last 5 in the date. I also took some photos of other parts of the coin. Sorry for the horrible images, I do not have a scope and forgot my tripod. My lens also only focuses well in one area too.
It also seems the "Liberty" has some potential doubling too, it looks like the tail of the "R" has some doubling. It looks very MD-like though, I don't think it is doubling though I have seen some Doubled Dies similar.
With "true" doubling, the topmost layer ought to be of full letter stroke and the "doubling" should be in addition to that stroke. If the two doubles add up to a normal letter stroke, it's MD.
If I can't see it on a 10x loupe, I don't consider it doubling. It doesn't make me right, it just doesn't seem viable to keep something I can't even see with my best loupe... I'm thinking it's just a scratch or MD.
