Im trying to find out how or where can i go to get appraisal and hopefully some value of this great penny i came across by.
Im actually hoping someone here would help with that..well if you look closely.it seems like an error of some type..the diesign it has can be a few different things.even by running finger over it helps you distinguished the difference between it being made by hand and possibly (hoping ) it was made like that.. (error)
Who voted yes? The marks on the obverse were not made by the mint. Someone just damaged it after the fact.
First, welcome to CT. Next, it's PMD (Post Mint Damage) This was caused by an engraving tool and the engraver isn't good enough to engrave. They need lots more practice. Not worth anything by one cent. You can buy these with a better design for less than a buck from numerous sources and they look much better. Live and learn.
