Everything I see on here is due to die deterioration. In particular, what's going on between the B and E of LIBERTY is a die chip, and one that is very common on 50's wheaties.
looks like its the beginning of the BIE chip. I see that but one thing im seeing that Ive looked at many other 50's wheat's and seen nothing similar is the s on IGWT the S on truSt look's inverted, not sure if thats possible but looks like it
I see where you're getting that, but I'm 99% sure it's not possible. The legends and mottoes are all on the master hub. The thickening of the letter at the top looks like die deterioration to me.
as I figured, I know about the master hub ,the motto and legends but like a doubled die is there a possibility however improbable the hub had a inverted letter? Im shooting for the moon and im sure this coin is not one but more like you said ddd just wondering if the mint has ever had that bad of a mistake?
I've heard of multiple instances of inverted mint marks. For anything more dramatic than that involving mispunched letters, you'd probably have to go back to the 19th century, when legends and mottoes were not always on the master hubs.
The term is Half BIE - If I remember where I read that I will share with you The S in TRUST is probably just damage. It's a very old circulated Cent.
Here are 3 1994 BIE Die Chips I found in the late 90's.. They are common in the 50's and 60's but can be found in other decades as well. And a bunch from 1957 except the last one from 1956 that I labeled wrong -
These are cool looking. I understand they have little value but I saved a bunch of them from 1995. I was searching an UNC bag for the DDO and these kept showing up. Fun stuff.
