Found this one today.. wish it were less crumpled... it says that the run hasn't been officially reported and the Run Size is just an estimate so will keep it for a while until the numbers are finalized

 

That run size is no longer an estimate. Someone filed an FOIA request to show the runs, and your note officially comes from a run of 250,000. See here.

 

Thanks for the reply, I looked at the link but to be honest, I don't understand it... is it a high or low run?

 

Usually a run size of less than a million is desirable. the lower it is from there the more desirable it becomes.

 

Where on the table at that link does it say how large the run is? I don't see that info anywhere or I just don't know how to read it

 

It tells you the run size and total printed, lines 1&2.

As mentioned before I am fairly new to this Forum but I am a quick learner.
After studying several books, threads, auction sites, post auction sales and various Paper Money Dealer sites I think it may be safe to say that when it comes to collectability, quality and condition take second place to none. With the exception of rare items, stained (some call it Foxing I have learned), folded paper, wear, and most often overall eye appeal are diminishing factors for collectors.

I was reading some threads here and a long posting member had repeated a phrase several times that I read. It went something like this; "Always buy the best quality you can afford, if you can not afford it then save until you can afford it". Quality is a selective choice of discerning individuals. Much like my work as in the quality of materials used to construct buildings provide for a much more solid structure, base and eye appeal of such buildings. Heck of an analogy huh?
I sure hope you do not think I am being negative about your postings, 2 weeks ago I very well could have made the same post. Learning about all of this provides for an excellent opportunity to partake in Tylenol and a good stiff shot!

 

I'd buy both from you. Just to keep them out of circulation along with any others like them. Do you still have them?
