Hello, I'm just trying to see if any f these coins my parents saved from the 90s are valuable and if any are worth appraising. I'm new to the coin hobby and would appreciate your help. Thank you! 1921 morgan with wrinkle lips? Quarter
I'm not a coin collector and while going through them they looked different to me. I tried to do my research but it seems like it would take forever. Also most coin shops are really far from where I live so I thought I try to see if hobbyist would know or at least point me in the right direction.
I'm not sure to tell you the truth so im trying to see if someone could either let me know if they are or not. Parents were asking to see if they are worth anything and there were too many going through the entire box of coins so I'm just posting a few I thought seemed different.
Play with this... Coinflation.com Silver coin calculator The silver pieces pictured are junk-silver worth melt. The clad modern pieces may have lamination errors which a grading service could authenticate for you. The '92 quarter is just dirty/damaged. I suggest you wash you hands afterwards.
Well the 1921 Morgan's worth about $20, the Barber half could probably get you $10, all the other silver would be a little over melt (The standing liberty quarters and silver Washington's all together would be $15), the blank cent planchet is worth about $3-$5, the Yankees quarter is worth face value and should be spent (Because I am a Red Sox fan, but actually it's just worth 25 cents). The Nebraska quarter looks like nail polish or something. No idea on the 1966(?) red weak struck quarter and finally the 1992 quarter is just dirty and can be spent.
I tried acetone to clean the Nebraska quarter and it wont peel off and so has all the other ones. Ive tried everything even used my finger nail to try to chip off the Washington's face on the Yankee coin to see the baseball players face but it wont come off. Another forum told me that I should leave the Yankee quarter in vinegar or acetone over night to see if it would help it completely dissolve the face.
