What coin shop was that? I only ask because you're the only other coin guy I know in my state.

    I'll tell you elsewhere, OK?

Would rather not lose my edge with them.

I think I got the nice discount, because I've been in there several times and I was like their only customer in the days after New Years.

Also, all of the coins I buy are of nominal value. Never like buying coins. Like finding them. :)

Wow man what a score! I think I might be getting a box this weekend. Hope I have half as good as luck as you did.

I also like how you organize them in the plastic container with small compartments. Are those the ones they sell for fishing lures/flys?

Thanks! Actually that's just my foreign coins box (everything except for Canada, which requires ziplock bags). I picked up some storage boxes at Harborfreight for $3 each in December. I keep my nice extra coins in tubes and my near uncirc extras in 2X2s.

Been using the box top for a lap table so I can coin roll hunt on my couch. :)

  7. my best find was a bunch of silver and BU 89-90 Kennedy half. I went to a bank and they had them all loose. My guess is some turned in dads coin collection

Picked up my 2 boxes of halves and 2 boxes of cents today:

Both boxes of cents are solid 2016-P. 2 weeks into the new year and I'm already getting solid date boxes...

2 boxes gave up 3 40%ers including a 1969S Proof. Also had a 1991D Mount Rushmore Commemorative Half.

I bought 26 rolls of halves from the bank yesterday. I paid $260 but the teller made a mistake and gave me $100 back! The money will be taken back to the bank. Anyway, in the rolls, I found a 1967 P 40%, a 1967 P Proof 40%, and my first Walking Liberty Half (a 1935 D). At my dump bank later that day, they had a 1972 Ike waiting for me! Then I bought a box of nickels. It had an old, dirty, 1942 P 35% silver war nickel in it along with a 1938, a 1939, a 1941 s in AU condition. Not bad!

$25 BWR Cents: 556 coppers, 13 Wheats, 4 foreign. A little better than average on the wheats found, though nothing rare or unusual.

I picked up my next cent box from the CU on my way home from work. It must have been delivery day - the guy behind me was picking up two boxes of small dollars and one of quarters. Too rich for my blood, but good luck to all the hunters this weekend. :)

    Hey Guys,

I haven't been on here in a few years, but I've been lurking again the last month or so.
I got out of roll searching for a variety of reasons, but I've had the itch and have been doing it again after a couple year break.
None of the old guys seem to be here any more, but I had a jackpot stop today and felt like I should share.
Stopped by a bank and a teller had $13 in loose halves, as well as $20 in large dollars. She couldn't have been happier to get rid of them and quit counting them each night - said she thought nobody would ever take the big dollars.
I've searched maybe $800 in Ikes over the years, whatever I've been able to find, but this is my first silver dollar find. First 6 silver dollar finds... and the halves were great too - my first Barber half (1907) found CRH, and the rest were mostly 90%, most of which were Franklins. So here's the pics!

    The SLQ could either be a '21 (semi-key) or a '23.

How can you tell? I was thinking either 26 or 28. I know nothing about the series though which is why I am asking.
