I was thinking the same thing. That is the reason I do not (and will not) do a folder set with a valuable coin. All my folders have common cents

 

My wife got me the folder for Christmas

 

Reverse shiny, obverse circulated?

 

If it's been passed down for a while, then it's not as likely to be fake.

 

Was mixed in with some other coins in a jewelry box thing. Some halves and a bunch of error coins. My grandfather had a vending machine company so I'm guessing he threw random coins in the box

 

Tell ya what collecting wheat cents has been a lot of fun. I'm 25 and my wife calls me a old man

 

She laughs at me when I tell her I paid $50 for 2 cents

 

That's easily a $1000 coin if it grades, Batman. I don't think you want to keep it in there.

 

What should I put in its place?

 

Sorry, but from what I can tell, it has been cleaned, ex-jewelry, and fake. Take it to a dealer to see it in hand, but that is what I think from your pictures.

I've probably annoyed all the coin shops in town about wheat cents. They keep saying they'll bring in there wheats but every week it's "there packed away but come next week"
