Now that I have your attention. With all the BS reality shows out there, are any of you aware of any type of decent coin talk shows on TV or the internet? If there was, I bet most of us would be watching it. Just a thought.
I seen an episode of Pawn Stars where Rick travelled to the Orlando F.U.N. show and bought a 70 thousand dollar coin. That was cool.
Last time he was selling rolls of Kennedy halves on HSN, one of the coins dropped to the floor and he kicked it off the set. A real valuable item I would say.
I wouldn't call it a "reality show" but The Coin Show (coinshowradio.com) is awesome! If you haven't listened to it, check it out. I have listened to every episode Mike and Matt have made. Great education, and fun segments. Kudos, Mike and Matt!
Now that's too funny. I'll bet it was picked up, dusted off and sent to one of those lucky buyers. They got to use stretch pay....
The Coin Show is all I know. I'm working my way through all of the episodes myself. My favorite moment so far is when Matt gave a hideous description of a Canadian commemorative coin that he said gave him nightmares. I believe that this was part of a "year's ugliest coin" segment. Lots of fun! When will the Coin Show movie come out?
I love the "what walked into Matt's shop" segment - I really like the insight us listeners get into the daily activities within a coin dealer's shop.
The only coin shows I have watched are Diggers when they find an old coin, or those late night shopping shows like Shop at Home, which were hilarious as they charged MS prices for VG coins.
Thecoinshowradio is the best and at 111 episodes -- it will take you while to listen to them all -- and it is very worth it to do that! Also check out the "Cool Coins" videos and others on CoinWeek, like this one:
I can't stand those 2 guys that host the show "Diggers" they do nothing but screw around and make fools of themselves.
