Would you think this to be an accurate grade

Anacs graded MS66. I'm wanting to buy it if it looks to the experienced guys as an accurate grade. I know Anacs is pretty darn good. Just want opinions.

I don't collect Walkers, but I think it might be pretty close. What I don't like about the coin is the discoloration around the rim. I don't know if it is toning or whether someone dipped it to remove grime/gunk. It's hard to tell from a photo, so an in-hand inspection might be wise. Does the seller have a "No questions asked" return policy?

I'm gonna say it looks like a nice coin to me, just hard to confidently say 66 from the pictures. Strike is nothing exceptional. The luster and rim discoloration probably needs to be evaluated in-hand though. Just to mention - I've see some common date walkers graded 66 selling pretty reasonable on ebay so be aware of the current price structure.

Probably a 66. Toning is nice, I see very few imperfections. Strike is average, but what do you expect from these Walkers?

I think 66 is a bit high. The right hand is solid, you can see the fingers. But the left hand is very very weak. I would think that there would need to be at least SOME detail in order to achieve a 66. Still a very nice coin.

I don't disagree with the grade, but the strike could be a bit better. Nothing unusual about that with walkers though.

I suppose that grade is okay. I, like some of the others, am dissuaded by the rim discoloration.

Everyone is harping on the rim "discoloration". That is toning. It speaks to the originality of the coin. I see absolutely nothing wrong with it, and is a plus in my book. It isn't the blast white, pallid looking, dipped out, piece of crap that you often see. The coin looks like a solid 66 to me, and I like its originality.

The pictures are from a heritage auction in.... 2012 I think. I am guessing their pictures are usually pretty good. OK I've got the answers I need to make the decision. Thank you all for a quick response!

You're in a particularly feisty mood tonight, Jason. Are you still celebrating the New Year. You'd better shape up, fella. The FUN Show is almost here.

Eh, maybe I am. I'm not in the mood for mollycoddling tonight. It's what happens when you get a couple bottles of good wine in me ;)

But, I stand by everything I've said tonight. It may not be the PC view, but I don't care :p

Nice toing. Does it have a lot of "flash"? If it has some blast luster to it, I would say it's graded well.

I think the ones in the field will hurt it the most .
Grading companies turn a blind eye on lady liberty, she's 2 pretty to pick on her ....
