Added to my Seated Liberty Half set, with eighty holes now filled. Most are AG-VG, with several F-VF. Limited budget so God only knows if the set will get completed.

I was able to update my toned Lincoln set with many coins leaving me with 14 total coins to find in the 1909-1958 category. Most of my set includes G thru MS coins. This year I hope to finish off my collection and focus on upgrading most of my G coins to AU if not MS. No where near as nice as WingedLibertys set but it is my own and I am proud of it.

My main US set is a graded die marriage set for small capped bust quarters (1831-1838). There are 36 marriages in all (38 if you count collar changes within a marriage) with 8 of the marriages with a rarity of 4+ or higher, including an R8.

I'm trying for AU examples with great eye appeal (at least for R1-R3) with preference given to late/terminal die states.

In 2015 I picked up 5 quarters for this set, two of which were upgrades:
    • 1831 B-5 (R3) Large Letters NGC AU55
      • Late die state, rainbow toning
    • 1835 B-2 (R2) NGC AU55 (looks 58 to me) (Upgrade)
      • Late die state, bright with russet peripheral toning
    • 1835 B-6 (R2) NGC AU50
      • Late die state, electric blue peripheral toning
    • 1836 B-1 (R2) NGC AU50 (Upgrade)
      • Terminal die state, darkly toned
    • 1837 B-1 (R3) PCGS AU50 CAC
      • Terminal die state, cyan peripheral toning
This brings me up to 14/36 - 39% complete.

How often does that R8 come to auction?

Virtually never. Only a couple known examples.

I finished my Jefferson Nickel set, and all of my Liberty "V" Nickel set - except for 1885 (still on the hunt). I completed my Franklin half set, and I sorta completed my Eisenhower set - but I cheated and bought it outright on Ebay.

My one passion set is 3 coins shy, my registry set of Peace Dollars. I'm missing 27-d, 27-s and 34-s. I have a scout at the FUN show looking for me. We'll see what he comes up with. I will complete it this year. Not sure what I'm going to do about the 34-s in high grade. I may actually have to SELL something. (shiver!)
