Ok.......the Madness Stops today ! We have a winner! Before I post the winners name and amount that was the correct amount, pictured, I need to know the following . ..... Who all counted George in the port hole? Who all counted the Blank platchet in the upper left hand corner, that BTW is in clear view....?
I was omitting the George Portrait and not counting the blank planchet. I caught the blank planchet on day 3 I believe.
I didn't do eather I was just adding up what I thought I saw, at 1st I thought it might be a trick puzzle. My last guees was from your clue about having all the numbers, just switched the numbers around. "Not saying I had the correct answer" But I liked the contest very much
Hold up. Are blank planchets not considered spendable? I would think it still counts as that amount. hmm
to Break it down here's what you were looking at ......142 coins & 1 dollar bill = 38 Buffalo nickels = 1.90 23 Proof Nickels = 1.15 2 peace dollars = 2.00 1 shield Nickel = .05 6 dimes = .60 2 Franklin Half's = 1.00 5 Half Dollars = 2.50 10 Quarters = 2.50 16 silver Dimes = 1.60 1Washington $ coin =1.00 1 Large cent = .01 2 toned nickels = .10 21 IHC =.21 9 Lincoln cents =.09 1 US Dollar Note =1.00 ------------------------------ $15.71 plus 1 blank one cent worth 0 face. All of the above were sitting on this as pictured a intaglio print of George Washington. Printed by the BEP and looking through a port hole! Now there's only one ACE and one Winner!" Congrats ACE 71499"
No blank planchets are not negotiable ,maybe in a coin shop, but not in this contest or in the real world. If that were the case then the mint wouldn't need to put an amount on a coin.
I'm so happy I won!!! This was a hard one though. Everyone was pretty close Thanks for the contest Paddy !
