Team, Almost forgot how forgetful of me. Recently, I'd taken my Bust Half Dollar Collection to the dealer I trade with, and he plus a couple of the local club member's examined it (109 total coins with 102 different varieties) for overall grade. It only took a couple of days for four members to grade each raw coin in hand. Most of my coins are raw and needed to be field graded, they will remain in this ungraded condition for the rest of my days anyway. Here are the overall grades assigned by the guys who looked at them. The average comes to VF-28, but I averaged it down to VF-25 for the whole lot. Ben: Well, you are now at the point of asking for admission the Bust Half Nut Club. requirements are #100 pieces (minimum) of Overtons. Good luck. Apparently, I read somewhere, a member has to examine your set and approve admission. :thumb: I am only at about #85 pieces, and going slowly. (about, because I think that I logged one or two pieces twice.)
You're correct. One additional problem of living in the remote/wild portions of the Nation is I'm going to have to travel to Denver (9 Hrs) in order to get them examined by the closest member of the club to me. I will keep you posted, LOL... Ben
Wow, awesome Bone! All very nice, and a nice accomplishment! Good luck on getting into the club! Sure you'll make it my friend! Awesome, and congrats. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: Phoenix
well Ben, the good news is.. once you are IN the club... any others around you wont have to travel so far you wil be an even BIGGER asset then you are now
Ben, I have always liked your blue collar set of Bust Halves. VF is a nice average grade, as they are much more expensive in VF now than they used to be. :thumb:
WOW, A great set of one of my favorite coins. Not only that but you led me to a new website to explore. Thanks for sharing!
