New Brunswick halfpenny cast copy ?

I've had this for quite a while and almost traded it until I took a better look at it, it's not even round and now I have the Charlton 9th edition I see that it says cast counterfeits are known. This isn't even round and looks terrible it weighs in at 7.08g

Looks like a contemporary counterfeit to me, nice find Personally I find stuff like this more interesting than the genuine version.

I have a Nova Scotia token which is an obvious cast - off metal, weight is high at about 10.7g. and the edge shows the sprue scar and filing. It is one of my most prized coins in my collection

 

This is my edge it's got something similar where it's mishapen I've taken pics to show you
