Well, for present coins you could start with the mint.... Playing the ultra-grade moderns game isn't for the faint of heart, so unless you're very good at grading to the TPG's standards (whichever you're going to submit to), and are willing to gamble, I would caution against taking this route.
It's bad enough getting boxes of coins from the bank. 80% at least are Denver shield cents, and most of the rest are 1990-D to 2009-D. Not many doubled dies in those years.
