If you check mintage By the date you'll see that the die was used till it exploded . Jefferson nickels for the most part were minted in the millions. From the mid 1960's- to present. 1964 was a big production year for nickels. Around 3 billion total from both P & D mints.

    paddy-
Could you not see the first top picture? The date was on that one.

Well, I answered my own question. It's very common. Wanna to know why? Because I have "two" of them and they're both 64's. Wonder if they were struck on the same die?

To be honest I got a business call right when I first viewed your coin. Yes after reviewing I saw the 1964 date.
Yes 1964 was a huge production year for nickels. About 6 months ago I sent about $50 in rolls back to the bank in unc. Condition . The funny thing was yes they were unc. And looked as if they been through a war. You have heard of full Step nickels? These were porch less nickels! Some of the worst nickels you ever want to see in unc. Condition .
They had luster still just no porch on the Monticello.

Really? I wouldn't mind seeing a picture of that one.

    Thanks for the on-going feedback!
