Is this an error or not?

    I have a coin collection of over 36,000 coins. Both circulated and mint proofs. I recently acquired some rolls from 3 different banks in bullion rolls of State quarters. I noted these marks on them that look like "D" shaped gouges. Some coins have one, others have several. some on Obverse, others on Reverse, some on both sides. Below are pics of these. Are these errors or man-made?

    Bag marks. That's what happens when a coin gets hit with the edge of another.
