When I saw Seattle86's suggestion of putting an eyeloupe in front of your camera I thought that was a cockamamie idea, but when I saw the pictures in which you tried this the ONE CENT came out in great focus. May apologies to Seattje for for my doubts.
I'm sure there are some here who really can't afford to shell out the money for a decent camera set-up. The problem with the "loupe thingy" is that you need to have very steady hands, and for many, trying to hold a loupe and camera while snapping a clear photo isn't the easiest thing to do. All too often, these photos are blurry, and simply enlarging them makes the photo worse. I use a conventional stereomicroscope, but when I bought it, the handheld USB scopes were just coming out and they were complete junk. Yes, they have improved a lot in the last 10 years, but why buy a new toy when the old one still works?
Sheila look at this page. http://www.varietyvista.com/CONECA Master Listings.htm it is the Coneca master listing. They don't have a lot of pics, but they give a fairly detailed listing of known doubled die's
