Sometimes we get gifts from family or friends who are not collectors, and sometimes they hit the spot and sometimes are funny...anyone get anything? One of my daughters gave me $100 trillion: DSCN1276.JPG
and they included as a freebie one I don't know

I got a nice loupe a year ago from my sister. I usually don't get much coin related though.

This year, my wife gave me the 2013, 2014 and 2015 ASEs for the 3 years we've been together. No one else followed my extensive and inexpensive wish list for storage materials so nothing else coin related this year. :banghead: Last year, I got a laser cut dollar coin cut into a puzzle from my sister in law and my wife gave me a bag of world coins to sort through :)

I got a proof 1986 Statue of Liberty commem when I was a kid, from my grandma, and a proof set from my parents. These days, I usually tell people not to get me coins, but I'd love to see some coin books or maybe a nice loupe or something under the tree/in my stocking. :)

I'd love to get a $100 trillion note though. :)

Between 2012 when me and my girlfriend split up and November when we got back together was when I was really getting serious about coins again. So she hadn't been as exposed to it. She's been really drawn to what I collect and seems to have a huge interest for colonials in particular. So for Christmas among other things I gave her a copy of the 2016 red book and a nova Constellatio copper and a Fugio cent. All of which she was thrilled with. Hopefully this is. The beginnings of another interest we can share

I got a 1928 $20 gold certificate. I didn't ask for one and didn't previously own one. Not in great shape but not bad either. I was surprised and happy with it.

I got a very nice lighted, mounted magnifying lamp from my daughter.

Well I got a book! Wayne Sayles' "Ancient Coin Collecting III: The Roman World Politics and Propaganda." I'm told the entire series is on its way...also got a camera. Not numismatic but will be used for coin photography and will allow me to grow a bit.
