Another Toned Roll: 1944-D

    Was down in SoCal again two weekends ago and picked up another toned roll from same dealer I got the 41-D Toned Roll from. These have a very different type of toning, with peripheral mottled color and central orange highlighting. What do you think?

    Turns out that 49/50 coins are all from the same die, RPM#5.

    Good gamble, I would have taken it based on the last roll! Too bad they don't have the color of the other roll though.

    Feedback I've had so far on this roll is that 1944 was a tough year for toners for some reason. Very few nicely toned coins are available from any mint. I must say that I haven't seen many toned 44-D's around at all and these are the first ones I've had.
