I'm sorry it's in the flip. I took it out of the cello and put it straight in the flip without snapping any pictures. I totally forgot. If it has to come out of the flip to give me a good guess then let me know and I'll take it out. I'm pretty curious about the 2 marks around the 9. How bad would those hurt the grade?
Just checked: I paid $30 for the entire 1970 proof set, in original packing, including the 70-D Kennedy.
That's not a proof Kennedy, it's a business strike do you mean mint set? You can also easily get a 1970 mint set for under $20 even on Ebay. OP I like the E in Liberty on your coin looks interesting with that big a gap. Although as others have said the obverse spots really draw the eye.
Yeah, you can get a deal on a whole mint set, but you'll probably also get a low grade 70-d. Many/most of the high grades have been cherry picked. If you want a certified high grade, you're best bet/price would probably be to buy one already graded.
If you're going the mint set route, try to cherry pick one with a 70-s small date. I got one from eBay last year.
