What are the best boxes and where can I get the best value for boxes that will hold NGC slabs. Taking into consideration the coins being protected properly.

    Thanks,

My personal preference was always the ICG slab boxes lined with Intercept Shield. You won't see them advertised anywhere, at least I never have. But if you contact ICG you can buy them direct, I always did.

    GD,

I have seen NGC boxes on sale and PCGS. How do the ICG boxes differ in quality and price?

    Thanks,

    BWJR

They are virtually the same as the other ones, and they are much cheaper !

Both NGC & PCGS boxes are made of hard molded plastic and the top fits down over the top 1/2 inch or so of the bottom section.. ICG boxes are made of stiff cardboard but the entire inside of both the top and bottom sections are lined with Intercept Shield material and the top fits down over the entire bottom section which makes it very hard for the lid to come off by accident.

Is the ICG box you mention somehow different from the regular slab box you can get from any Intercept Shield dealer?

Everyones always going to have a ""Better" or personal pref... I use actual NGC or PCGS slab boxes...

I get mine either used on ebay or from my local coin guy... Either source less than half of retail cost..

Once I get'em I print out a label that has the Coin/Series, Years ( and maybe Mints)...
    EX:

    Jefferson Nickel Proof Set
    1970-1987
    Box 2 of 4

To make the lables I use a Brother P-Touch labeler...
I'm sure there are better ones, but it seems to work pretty good for me...

Just remember NGC slabs won't fit in a PCGS box,
