I just got home from the celebration held in Quincy,MA to launch the new $1 coin. This was of extra interest to me as I am also into genealogy and John Adams is a distant relative (4th cousin 7 gens removed). My 9 year old son was with me and seemed to have a great time. I took lots of pictures and will try to upload some of them this evening. I got to meet my 11th cousin, Peter Boylston Adams for the first time. The highlight of the event was that we had a roll of Adams dollars signed by director Moy as well as by Joel Ishowitz, the designer of the Adams coin. He initially refused to sign it untill he found out it was for my son's personal collection and that he was a distant relative of John Adams. He stated that he had only signed one other roll and made us promise not to sell it on Ebay. I'll post photos later! Ziggy

very cool!! its been a LONG time since i have been to Quincy. Nice area!!! Last timei was there, i think it was the downtown or so that had a very colonial look and feel. Is it still that way? or has it been too long lol

Those President Adams Dollars look even better than the President Washington ones.I can guess that you are looking forward to the next 2 Presidential Dollars to come out this year. Which 50 States Quarters are left to come out this year,as seen as we have just had the Washington State Quarter come out in the last few weeks? Aidan.
