Wow!! Some of you guys act like its a bad thing when a person who is getting started wants input from a newbie. If I treated every new nurse like dirt because I have 20 years of experience on them. .. that would make ne an absolute ass. Get the hint. Chill out and appreciate
It could be a simple filled Mintmark.. nothing major. Sort of a Die Chip. Very common on Cents from the 50's and 60's
I see a filled mintmark and maybe a minor clash on the reverse. Neither of which are remarkable or of any value.
Maybe Santa didn't see it. It's cool to find a coin that's almost 50 years old and still be that nice. Die chips make some fun looking mintmarks and dates. Not much value but I have been saving the Lincoln ones for about 40 years. The 60,s years were filled with interesting finds. I'm up to about 300 in my collection. Fun stuff for a $3.00 investment.
I keep the filled dies as well, neat to find. Value in terms of $$, not much, but the value in having fun finding them and sharing with other enthusiasts beats out $$ in my opinion!
