I actually already got it and I know that it's silver. The thing that gets me is the off center faces.

Looks real. Trade dollars never were highly detailed.

Reverse is iffy to me (But then again I'm not professional) but if it was real I think it would grade Details

I say they are very detailed. Take a look at the tiny feather detail at high power?

The dies on your coin are rotated. At this time, that proves nothing as more research is needed on this. With some coins (18/7-D 5c and some 16-D 10c) die rotation helps in authentication.

Wear seems really uneven... stars complete but face distorted?

When in doubt, send to PCGS or NGC.

Even if it doesn't grade, you'll be told for sure whether it's "Genuine".

Zero chance it's real. It's a Type 2 Reverse, not introduced until 1875.

I just read the post on C/F Trade dollars. Weakness of strike is not a good detection method. What does your coin weigh (which is also not very reliable these days)?

OMG! SuperDave is right. Naked-eye fake w/ even a photo worse than yours. Genuine '74's have a berry on the reverse.

Look at her foot and the dress she is in - looks like a cartoon character compared to a Morgan Dollar that has nicely detailed dies!

On the Type 1 reverse, the bottom arrow stops at the 2 and does not overlap it. Also, the leaf between "900" and "FINE" on the Type 1 does not extend below the top line of the letters. Not possible for this one to be real.

Noticed - berries (on real coins) are football shaped not round.

Ok. Ok, it's too bad dresses don't have strands of hair. Should have engraved her in a doily rather than a dress. Then she would have been even more detailed :)
