Yikes! Without seeing that coin in hand, I wouldn't be a buyer, CAC or no CAC.

Looks like light luster grazes on miss liberty, but the field disturbances on the obverse are just too much for a 65, IMO. Maybe a 64, but more likely a 63. The photos must not be doing this coin any favors.

WOW...must have been submitted by a VIP at least to the TPG and sticker people.

Well, her face is relatively devoid of marks which is unusual even for UNC Morgans, but I still don't think I'd give it MS-65

Looks a lot closer to a 63 to me, 64 on a good day.

I think there's no deep hits on it, so it might be a technical 64, but it's just so ugly, how did it get a CAC.

I think the 65 is okay, but I'm beginning to see a few PCGS Green Beanies that should have been ruled an incomplete pass.

    ... especially the reverse.

With 2 hours left, after 26 bids it's up to $2550.

    MS65 Greysheet bid/ask is $4000/$4400. It's a bargain!

I guess the bargain hunters are out in force. But I don't think I could make myself pull the trigger on it. It has zero eye appeal.

Don't like the rim damage on it; nice coin otherwise. A 65 ? hmmmm.
Since I don't collect Morgans I think my opinion probably is worth < zero.

With 28 minutes left, it's up to $4051!

For a lot less money, I'd rather have a pretty "details" bargain.

You could have my 1891 for pennies on the dollar! IMG_2460.JPG

Sold for $4,051. Couple of late bidders dashed the hopes of the all-time bargain hunters. Glad I don't owe four grand for that one.

I would have passed. I would be in debt $3750 if I bought it!

Not the sort of coin I would be tempted to buy on EBay given my overly cautious nature.

Wow, that's the evidence I needed to see.. Not my 65 either. Must look entirely different in hand so I should keep out of this. The PCGS/CAC guys are much better market graders than I am. Anyway, lots of folks want it.

I have no opinion whatsoever on the quality of the coin based upon one set of scans (they're not even photographs). I know better.
