Museum day( 1)

    Dear Friends,

    I riding my bike this morning 50 miles, after a quick shower went to my local museum, just opened again for half, not completely ready yet, but was a nice walk took many pictures also of coins, i though let share and after that went to a local pub....to make the weekend perfect, such a nice weather in the Neterlands now..normal minus now 15 degrees in the winter crazy.
    Some comments with the pictures..
    the terrine is has more than 100 original roman cameos on it !!
    the plate is from Constantine !! picture one.
    Than see the vases, general picture, unbelievable treasure.
    Coin pictures in section 2 of this story.....ooo pictures from mobile phone not so good, I had one beer too much( ooo I am not an alcoholic..only concerning coins)

    the Trajan statues are 3 meter high !!! and marble !! real 100% !!!

    Wow Cyrrhus just awesome, what city is this in? i can see why these guys made awesome coins, what great talent.:)

    That's why I like visiting Europe. Literally any little museum has items which you only see in world history and art history books. Nowhere else can you walk across a 2,000 year old bridge, see 1000+ year old art, and eat dinner in 500 year old restaurant all within a 2 or 3 square mile area

    cool ... but not quite as cool, or as "ancient" as your sweet experience ...

    => man, I need to get back to a big city, eh?
