525,133,459 minted. I sell these in uncirculated sets (1971 P, D&S) cut away from old mint sets still in mimt cello for around $1.99. Found in change circulated, not really worth much unless it's some sort of error.

    Welcome to the the forum!

Well, it is in the "error" forum..... ;)

Another fine example of why members should explain what they see, or state their concerns, instead of simply posting a photo and expecting everyone to guess.

    OP,

Perhaps someone else can, but I cannot see the coin in good enough detail to comfortably comment one way or the other. Better photos often result in more responses, and sometimes better answers as well. Welcome to the forum, sir.

I'm wondering if the OP was unaware that there were S minted cents up until 1974 and thought it's was a error because of it having a S, but the pics don't even show the date and MM. It seems to be sitting on a price guide of sorts, maybe red book, if so, it's all in there....I dunno.

I dunno. I just get warm and fuzzy feelings when I hang out here.

My assumption was that between posting this in the "error" section, and his photo showing only IGWT, coupled with the fact that there are a number of known significant DDOs for the year, all equalled a variety question. Who knows for sure though, and again is why it would be nice for those asking questions to take the few seconds necessary to explain what they see or are asking.

Other than the one now-modified post, which was certainly deserving, I don't see where anyone was anything but nice and reasonable. Of course it's easy to misinterpret, and I can only speak for myself, but nothing I've said was, in any way, intended to be mean or spiteful. :)
