Guess the grade and value of these coins the dime nickel and 2 cent are NGC and the half is PCGS There ae a decent amount of scratching on the holders http://picasaweb.google.com/djlljd/JCoins
I will only venture a guess on the Walker. I'm going with PCGS MS65. The strike is excellent for a late date San Francisco piece with full thumb seperation. There is a little bit of chatter on lady Liberty, but the fields are nice and clean. As for value, somewhere in the neighborhood of $300. Just my opinion. Tom
The 44 D Merc I go a strong 65, possibly a 66. Not good at grading 3 cents, but I'll say that one is also a 65, beautiful luster on the both of them. :thumb: The buffalo I go a 64 on, nice toning. And the walker I go 65, possibly a 66, I have to agree with TOLS, it has a VERY exellent strike! Very beautiful, all of them. :thumb: Phoenix
Well I don't know about grading on these coins, but these are all beauts. I certainly would not kick them out of my collection. Nice coins!!!
The merc looks like it just misses FSB based on what I see on the top bands at the Left. I would give it a MS65 for sure maybe a MS66. The Walker is a real beauty MS65 For sure! on the 3C looks like either it has lost the misnt lustre on the top or the lighting makes it appear that way. I also see it on the reverse. I will say MS62
well thanks for all the compliments based on your guesses i think you will be surprised on the grades and what i payed for them i will wait for a few more posts before saying what the grades are also you should see the toning on the buffalo in person it is really nice
im a little surprised bout the grades on the walker there are a few scratches on the coin right below the t in liberty to see them use the magnifieing tool and then tell me if you would change the grade
walker ms64, three cent not my spec but ms65, merc ms64 (maybe fsb, but hard to tell with the glare off the left had side in the pic), buffalo xf-40
Nice Jake! My guesses are: Walker: 63 Buffalo: 61 3 cent: 64 Merc: 66 FSB (hard to tell from a photo, but I'll step out on a limb)
Walker - MS63 (Looks like a small patch of hairlines in the right field) Buffalo - MS63 (Seems a little dull for a 38D, with some scattered marks) 3 Cent - MS64 (Gorgeous coin, with one noticeable mark on the reverse, and possilbly a few light marks on the obverse) Merc - MS66 (I think its a just miss FB because of the top left, but they may have let it pass) Whatever the grades are, its a very nice group of coins!
well i decided to post the grades now and most people were prety close well the merc was a 66 fsb but i bought it for less money about a 65 grade it was 49$ the buffalo was a ms-64 with just greaT Toning that didnt show up in the photo i got it for 25$ the walker was a 64 and i got it for 75$ i anone wants to make a offer based on the remarks ive heaerd im open for it and the 3 centerr was a PF -64 yes PF-64 which looks proof in hand i got that for 350$
They are nice coins! I knocked the Buffalo to a 63 based on the color, but if its nicely and naturally toned, then I can see why its a 64.
The 3 Cent Nickel is Pf 63-65, the walker could be MS65 or better... have to look at the rest of them
