    Hello,

    I bought this dime off of ebay last year but didn't really look at it when i got it. Anyway when I was looking through a few coins tonight I ran across it and noticed a extra dot at the top close the the E in states. The dot is the same size at the other two on the reverse of the coin.

    Sorry for the awful pic.

    Dano:
    Since this is a clad dime it is possible that:
    1) it is a bubble in the surface between the layers;
    2) It is post mint damage from heating;
    3) someone sneezed.

    I'm not sure what it is. The poor photo doesn't help. It could be a die chip, but this is not a common location for one to form. A bubble in the cladding is also unlikely. A patch of die erosion is another possibility, but these are associated with late die states, which your coin apparently does not show. It could be a die dent. It could also be a drop of solder.
