I have something of a love affair with and (after looking at many) recently purchased this Carson. I'm interested in any history members might have on the mintage. I have researched and read many articles, but would appreciate your input. I'm also in the hunt for a clean xf-40.
    Thanks.

Mintage was 350k. But today the estimate is only 10k +/- survived the Pittman act meltdown... only 1 was found in the gsa releases. That should tell you something right there.

Every morgan collector that has an 89cc knows that love affair well!... Just wait until you get a 93s ;)

    10K total??
Yep, on this date, it's all about the mintage...do you know that a MS68 specimen sold for $881K in 2013? Stacks Bowers I believe.

Yup. I think that was the jack lee specimen. And there's an **ms63 PL** at great collections right now! I think it's up to 20k. What a piece of gorgeous coin beauty it is!

Funny how you say you're in the hunt for a clean xf-40. That 1899-cc is a cleaned VF-30.

Lol, but they gave the scarce lady a break. For the market. That's how it works...
