I found a small die break on the reverse of a dime on the left leaf, but also noticed that there is a rotated image of the reverse on the flat surface. I attached a couple pictures of just the coin with different lighting to show the image then another to outline the image. I don't think it's PMD because I would think it would also show on the raised surface of the rest of the coin. Any ideas? Maybe just lamination.
It's not PMD, but also isn't some sort of rotated image; that's pareidolia. The exact cause/name for this escapes me, but it is quite common on the type. If you compare to even a handful of other examples, you're sure to see it to some (greater/lesser) degree.
