Error on 1972 Ike Dollar

    I haven't seen anything else posted like this. Do you know what it is?

    I believe this coin to be type 3....but not sure

    It looks like dried glue. If the patch is raised above the rest of the field and design, then that's what it is.

    No...not glue, or anything on the surface of coin. It feels mostly flat. Slight ridge around the whole patch, but somewhat recessed in the middle. 2015-12-13 14.32.16.jpg 2015-12-13 14.32.16.jpg 2015-12-13 14.30.29.jpg

    I have no idea what that might be but, yes, it does look like a Type 3 Reverse.
