Hello all! For those that collect Civil War store cards, I have been told that there is an error in the 3rd Edition of the Store Card Guide relating to the Broas Pie Baker pieces (630L-). The obverse dies 29310 and 29315 are reversed. The die markers indicated in the book for 29310 are actually for 29315, and visa versa. This applies only to the photographs and close ups. The actual chart for Fuld number is correct. Below is the coin that brought about this discussion. It is a pairing of 29315 and 1061, NY-630L-7a. Prior to the 3ed, this was known as the 630M-6ao. I believe mine to be a nearly terminal die state based on others that have come up. Die 29315 (3ed labels this 29310) Die 1061 There is a rumor of a pairing of the correct die 29310 paired with 1061. If you find one, get with the proper people. They have a number tentatively assigned. Thanks to Robec for the awesome images!
Same as mine I think. They combined a bunch of the 630M numbers - the consensus among experts is that they were varying die states, not different dies.
Awesome example, by the way. Very sharp details. I broke mine out if an NGC MS62BN slab. I'd peg yours at a 65+ based on the examples I've seen.
