I know this is a VAM, just can't tell which one. I'm thinking VAM 6? Any help would be appreciated. IMG_2460.JPG IMG_2461.JPG IMG_2464.JPG IMG_2465.JPG IMG_2466.JPG

Every Morgan dollar "is a VAM".
I don't have my books with me while traveling so I can't really help right now. What do you see that makes you think it's a VAM6? http://www.vamworld.com/1891-CC+VAM-6

I want to call it a VAM-2. The date does not line up with the VAM-6. Also I don't see any doubled lettering on the reverse. The date lines up to VAM-2 and the positioning of the CC corresponds to VAM-2 as well. Also the partially filled right C is known on the VAM-2.

I think you might be right, I got thrown off by the die clash by the right wreath.

...it's a beauty and he posted excellent close-up pictures! What's the grade 64 or 65?

I'm surprised it didn't get a 65 though.. It is real nice and clean. I like it.

Thanks, I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Maybe the luster held it back.

Haha.. I do. It's an app on my phone that will scan bar codes from all of the major TPG's. You had just enough of the barcode visible in the first pic for it read it. :D

Yeah, VAM-2. I was able to find examples with the same die crack at S OF. Kinda tough coin in higher grades.
