Thanks jello, I do have one more of these itty-bitty coins, forgot what date, it could be a 1921 for all I know :-s

I am pretty sure this is a 1891 C3 LL SD in EF + condition. Seller had it marked as a LL LD, so hoping I have a winner here!

As a rule of thumb, you can almost always delineate a LD from a small date by taking a file card or piece of paper and run it vertically down along the outer left hand edge of the N in Cent if you can't tell immediately from the font used. If that line intersects the upper part of the 9, it is almost a large date. Yours is the exception, as all SD/LL cents had the last 2 digits manually struck on the working dies ... as such, the gap between the 8 & 9 is different than the LD's or SL/SD's. Yours is definitely a small date and nice grade. BTW, ALL small leaves Reverses HAVE to be small date as well. There are no large date, small leaf coins.

Your SD Reverse is called the "low 91" and is ID'd as Turner R1P-S3 and is mated with Obverse O2Y-S1 and the Reverse was used on 37% of the SD/LL Obv 3 1891 cents.

I couldn't resist this circ cameo. If this was a US coin, it would have cost at least 5X more than I paid. Mintage of 340,000 or so vs. 1 million+ for 1921 Peace dollars.

Thanks, I like George V. It doesn't have key date money in the catalog but I knew I couldn't go wrong at $20.

    Ya
But even if you put $15.00 more used Anacs that should get it sealed
Better resale if that's your goal down the road. At my age their not much more to buy

Just fyi, the Canadian mint lists mintage at 306,100 as does Charlton; suspect Krause has error.
