Usually not more than 20-30 minutes a day. Sometimes upto an hour but that'd be on about 3 or 4 visits throughout the day. I also have to check out four other forums, and three email addresses and i'm on dialup. So i don't get chance to sit here too long.
I don't spend much time here anymore. Sometimes I read some, but there are so many threads about nusmismatics for new people that I lose interest. Also, anytime I start a thread, no one responds. Not 1 person. So there's pretty little interest here for me now
hours at p c i can't believe it. it keep on increasing. i have to find a way to stop it. i even have no time for other stubs. now almost 6 hours or more per day.
how many hours..... i passes by coin talk every day. it became a daily routine. can help to stop it. are you?.
wow I was so confused! I read this and then looked up and it said 201 posts. Talk about diving right into things. Then of course I looked at the date and felt stupid :rolling: Oh well. I would say about an hour a day. If good topics sometimes 2 or 3.
watch out and make sure you erase the temp files! i check this site out daily then move to ngc and pcgs then some reading (about coins of course) from nn,cw,coins and coinage magazines.............now it's time for bed! grizz
In my case,it can vary from 5 hours a day to around 8 or 9 hours a day.I enjoy being able to answer other people's questions in relation to numismatics & notaphily. Aidan.
Well, it really depends if the wife is home or not...lol. Dont tell her I said that. I'm usually on here before I go to work in the morning around 4:45 am for 15 mins. then in the evening I get on when I can, so an average evening can range between 2 to 4 hours just on CoinTalk. Thats not counting my time lurking in Ebay looking for counterfeit coins to report and the small amount of time in the bowling forum I post in occasionally.
I was collecting for about 15 years when I found this site. I spent the first 10 collecting without regard to understanding numismatics. That led to some painful purchases, but none too bad, mostly a few overpayments. Then at year 13 I got serious, when I bought my first high dollar coin (an anacs ag-3 1916 d mercie) then it was learn learn learn, every source I could find, and glean every last bit of knowledge before buying a particular coin. When I found this site I lurked for two years, reading articles, threads, and the such, until the point came where I thought to myself. Hey I have a lot of knowledge that I can share with some of the guys on the site and I realized I wasn't the newbie I had been years ago. Since then not a day goes by when I have access to a computer that has access to this site that I don't spend at least 1 hour here. Sometimes its as many as 5.
Im on for about 20-30 minutes in the morning to catch on over night posts, and i have acces for 8 hours throught the day whil i am at work, so i pop in every so often, and then i am on for 20-30 minutes a few time at night.... Hey, what can i say... anythime of day there is the possibility something is posted that might learn me something
This is a neat old thread. I probably drop by about 3-4 times each day, for a total of 1-2 hours, depending on how busy I am. I spend a lot of time in general learning about numismatics, as there is always more to learn about the field. One will never learn everything there is to know!.....although I plan on trying....lol.
