Have they said anywhere exactly what type of coins? what country?

 

I think I saw something about that in the paper today but didnt really get a chance to read it. Wouldnt that be great to be a part of that expedition.

I thought it was a pretty cool find.... Could you imagine finding such a treasure!!!!!

It would be interesting just to work for them to spend some time examining the coins. Wonder if they have an internship .

This find, as yet unnamed, has 17 tons of coins - mostly silver.

These are the same guys who found the S.S. Republic - which yielded millions. Lots of double eagles on that one.

They're already in the hunt for the next shipwreck - the H.M.S. Sussex. They say that one might have nine tons of 17th century gold coins. Nine tons.

As we say in America, "That's a lot of dead presidents !"

In this case, a lot of dead kings and queens.

 

With that in mind, they say they will release them slowly. But yeah... large supply has to drop the price.

 

Too bad the coin from the wreck will be priced very high... even if they are silver

I'm sure it'll take years & years for these to all be released. They'll want to keep prices up.

WOW Man, what would it be like to find a treasure like that.

 

Man it would be awesome to be part of the group of "benefactors" for a successful operation like that! $500 Million in coins would be awesome to see and even better to own!
