Cats are such adept hunters it's fitting they are on coins for us to collect. :)

I picked up two of the smashed die Broas Pie Baker tokens.

    s-l1600.jpg s-l1600 (1).jpg
The above example is raw and appears to be AU+ maybe UNC. The cracks are all present but the clash isn't as pronounced.

    s-l1600 (2).jpg s-l1600 (3).jpg

The second example is in an NGC MS62BN holder. This one appears to be a later state - the clash is much more pronounced, or at least the pictures indicate it. There is also some damage to the lettering on the obverse. This die also includes the letter below ONE COUNTRY. Curious to study them both in hand.

I did a little research in my Fuld book. NGC calls the graded example NY-630L-7a (Obverse 29315). However, due to the placement of the "ST" below the "H" and star, I disagree and believe this to be Obverse 29310. Reverse 1061 is the only Indian head with "UNITED WE STAND" and the "H" below the bust, which would be the correct reverse for the -7a. Of the two pages of Broas Pie Baker tokens listed in the 3rd Edition, none have the die pair 29310/1061. I believe I may have scored an unlisted variety - woot!

The ungraded example shares the Reverse 1061, and pairs with Obverse 29330, which is listed as NY-630L-14a, R-4. All in all, I'm happy with my two little tokens...

Does anyone know anything about this medal?

It is about 3" in diameter (75mm to be exact) x 3/16", reeded edge and made from a very light white metal (probably aluminum).

On the bottom of the reverse it's stamped: STI 1989

I would greatly appreciate any information anyone may have about this interesting looking medal.

I couldn't find anything on STI, Oded, but it's apparently a private mind of some sort. An example like yours sold on eBay about a year ago for $6. Sorry I couldn't help you on this one.

I tend to pick these up whenever they're advertising something local to me. This one is close enough but I really like tercentennial with the correct 1907 cent. Not sure if the mark on it is grease pencil or something else that might come off with acetone. I already have a so-called dollar for this expo too.
