My most expensive. Those are light abrasions on Ms. Liberty, not contact marks. They really jump out at you when you try to capture the reflective fields in a photo. I want to get this re-imaged at some point.

I remember when I was 13 (1977-78), the most I paid for a coin was $20 for a 1911-S Lincoln cent. I was assembling a wheat cent set at the time, but failed to get the 4 most expensive varieties, until much later in adult hood.

I see. I'm focusing on Liberty Nickels right now, they're cheap, they look good, and they kinda fill in that 'hole', or better known as greed. I'm kinda satisfied with them. ;)

The most I've spent was on a Matte Proof 1909 VDB ($29K). The vast majority of my buys now range from $10-$400.

Most I've spent is $450, on a large cent with an estimated value of $500-600. Graded MS62 but it honestly looks better than that. Still got it in my collection. :)

Keep in mind, this isn't on par with the famous PCGS PR67+RB in eye appeal or value. It was also purchased around the high water mark these were going for in 2009. I have the grade in the photo shown as a PR64RB, it should say PR64BN.

I'd sell it in a heartbeat and buy 22500 ounces of 90% junk silver. Bullion rules ;-)

Thanks for the kind remarks. It only graded F12, which just goes to show that the right look can make up for a lot of wear.

I'm more into coin collecting than metals. That's how I started as a kid in the 60's and haven't kicked the habit.

I was just kidding... silver is for hoarders and doomsday preppers... you have outstanding coins in your collection, please do not sell them :)
