I found my favorite error coin in a 2001 Kennedy $100 Mixed P&D bag when the Mint released them in 2004. It was missing the reverse clad layer, and it cost me 68c. I showed it to Fred Weinberg at the 2005 FUN Show, and he said it was worth $125. A few months later, a second one turned up on eBay, and it sold for $555 raw. It just proves what opinions are worth. Sorry, Fred, I still have it! Chris
Hey coinman1234 Well-Known Member there is one that's very similar ON EBAY 1977 though asking 300.00 on it... will see how it goes
Cool! I hope to see if anyone buys it though, there's a difference between the asking price and the selling price Though I see that there are five people watching, 2 in the last 24 hours. I like to check the sold listings to find a value, I guess I will check there too. Mine is very similar, even to the blank spot on the reverse. When I found mine in around 2013 I checked on ebay and saw that one 1997 struck by the same die as mine sold with a few bids for $150. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1977-LINCOL...484589?hash=item58d0fed8ad:g:pTAAAOSw5VFWQhYI
I looked at the sold listings at coins similar to the OP's, I see them sell for around $15 most of the time. I will try to attribute it too, I see some very similar ones of the year sold, with the cud in the same area, just slightly different in terms of shape, maybe the OP's coin is a later die state of it.
Looks like either 1983-09 or 1983-29 http://cuds-on-coins.com/lincoln-cent-cuds-1983-2/ 1983-29 1983-09
