Sounds like you've a nice haul and had a fine time, congrats. There's lots than can be learned from "old stuff", and much appreciation to be had for things surviving from times past, but just be careful assuming that such things could someday (or now) "be worth a LOT of money". You'll get more out of your hobby enjoying the coins for what they are instead of what you hope they could be.

    Welcome to the forum.

Was pretty cool to see the new cherry-pickers guide is out and 6 2009 Lincoln double thumbs were just added ...
The new guide starts from the cent and runs to the nickel ...

I miss this show every year as I travel out of town to visit my family for Thanksgiving. One day, I'm going to stick around and go to the show. I've heard it's the best one of the year in the Detroit Metro area.

Little shows are the best.... you have more time to look through everyone's inventory.

Andy, the big show in Cincinnati is the GCNE show in June or July (it moves sometimes) It's held in the Convention Center in Sharronville (Suburb cityof Cincinnati). It isn't a really big show, only 70 - 100 dealers, but it is the biggest in the area. I attend it each year.

The Michigan show is held at the Malcomb Community College in Warren MI (suburb city of Detroit). jpcienkus, if you can't make the Thanksgiving show you might try the spring show in April. I make the fall show but not the spring show because it tends to be the same weekend as the Chicago International show.
